The 2021 junior season for Wyoming’s CJ Hester will go down as one of the best by a running back in Southwest Ohio history. A starter since his freshman year Hester ran for 2,484 yards, amassed 2,773 all-purpose yards with 40 touchdowns (35 rush, four rec, one FR). He was named OPSWA Ohio Division IV OPOY, First Team All-Ohio and District OPOY for a second straight year. Hester was also the CHL OPOY. The Cowboys finished 12-1 record and made their fifth straight regional finals appearance where they fell to eventual state champion, Clinton-Massie. Hester’s offers currently include Akron, Ball State, BGSU, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Toledo and Western Michigan.
