Dayton Round-Up: Bellbrook Belts the Burg

Elijah Brooks ran for a personal best three touchdowns and Division III Bellbrook held the ball almost 12 minutes more than Division I Miamisburg in a resounding road victory. Brooks finished the night with a career high 119 yards rushing on 25 carries for the victorious Golden Eagles. The senior only carried the ball 25 times in 13 games, a year ago.
The Bellbrook defense was stellar against the run holding the Vikings to just 67 yards on 28 totes. The Golden Eagles are giving up just 2.9 yards per carry through two games.
Miamisburg threw for 197 yards. Senior receiver Jackson had seven receptions for 116 and a touchdown in the loss. It was McGohan’s third game with more than 100 yards receiving in his last six starts.
