Edgewood’s Valerio voted POW

Jake Valerio of Edgewood was voted the Mella Window & Carpet Cleaning Player of the Week for Week 5, tallying 2,162 votes (25.83 percent).
Valerio ran for 155 yards, had a pair of touchdown runs and a reception for 20-yards as the Cougars roared past Chaminade Julienne, 35-21.
He edged out Bryson Earley of West Clermont and Blanchester’s Dustin Trace in the voting conducted at TriStateFootball.com this week. In total, 17 players were nominated with 8,370 votes casted.
