TSF 2022 Cincinnati OPOY: Jordan Marshall

He baffled foes with his speed and moves all season long, that elusive performance saw Moeller junior running back Jordan Marshall be named TriState Football Cincinnati Offensive Player of the Year, as TSF paid tribute to the area’s finest from Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Dayton and Southeast Indiana at the Year in Review Show on Monday night, in front of a packed house at the Holy Grail in downtown Cincinnati.
Marshall ran for 1,951 yards, averaged 8.0 yards per carry, caught 19 passes for 364 yards and found the end zone 34 times (30 rush, four rec) in 14 games for Moeller (13-2). He ran for at least two touchdowns 10 times and topped the 100-yard mark rushing on 12 occasions against one of the toughest schedules in the country. The Crusaders only losses were to Division I state champion, St. Edward by six points and to Division I state runner-up Springfield by four points in the final four. He earned OPSWA Division I OPOY, First Team All-Ohio, OPSWA Southwest District OPOY, GCL South AOY and First Team All-TSF honors for his work.
Marshall, one of the nation’s top prospects in the Class of 24 has narrowed his college choices down to offers down to Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin and Tennessee.
He heads into his senior campaign with 3,237 rushing yards, 43 receptions for 825 receiving yards, 4,182 all-purpose yards and 59 touchdowns scored (48 rush, 11 pass).
Other Cincinnati OPOY finalists included seniors Mitch Bolden (Lakota West), Trey Cornist (Winton Woods), CJ Hester (Wyoming), Will Kocher (Kings), Michael Mussari (Kings), Drew Novak (Western Brown), Griffin Scalf (Anderson) and junior Talon Fisher (Fairfield).
TriStateFootball.com was founded in 2005 and started its postseason awards in 2007. Marshall is the second Moeller player to be named the TSF Cincinnati Offensive Player of the Year and the seventh junior along with Mark Miller (Elder) in 2008, Jalin Marshall (Middletown) in 2011, Greg Simpson (Sycamore) in 2012, Jeremy Larkin (LaSalle) in 2014, Miyan Williams (Winton Woods) in 2018 and Drew Novak (Western Brown) in 2021 to win the award .
