Wilmington’s Brown voted POW

Michael Brown of Wilmington was voted the Mella Window & Carpet Cleaning Player of the Week for Week 2, tallying 1,673 votes (25.97 percent).
Brown reeled in nine receptions for 148 yards and two touchdowns in the Canes 24-21 win over Miami Trace.
He edged out Bo Rickman of West Clermont and Kings’ Colton Weisbrod in the voting conducted at TriStateFootball.com this week. In total, 13 players were nominated with 6,442 votes casted.
