The Kentucky high school football first-round playoffs kick off this week. Here’s a rundown of how all of the Northern Kentucky area teams stack up.

CLASS 6A

No. 4 Southern (4-6) at No. 1 Ryle (6-4), 7 p.m.

No. 3 Fern Creek (6-4) at No. 2 Simon Kenton (5-4), 7 p.m.

No. 3 Campbell County (3-7) at No. 2 Bullitt East (8-2), 7:30 p.m.

CLASS 5A

No. 4 Conner (5-5) at No. 1 Scott County (8-2), 7:30 p.m.

No. 3 Collins (6-4) at No. 2 Cooper (8-2), 7:30 p.m.

No. 4 South Oldham (6-4) at No. 1 Highlands (9-1), 7:30 p.m.

No. 3 Dixie Heights (4-6) at No. 2 Woodford County (6-3), 7:30 p.m.

CLASS 4A

No. 4 Greenup County (6-4) at No. 1 Covington Catholic (10-0), 7 p.m.

CLASS 3A

No. 3 Fleming County (6-4) at No. 2 Lloyd Memorial (9-1), 7:30 p.m.

CLASS 2A

No. 4 Danville (0-10) at No. 1 Beechwood (9-1), 7:30 p.m.

CLASS 1A

No. 4 Trimble County (3-7) at No. 1 Newport Central Catholic (6-4)  (NCC advances due to forfeit)

Friday, November 3

No. 3 Dayton (4-6) at No. 2 Bishop Brossart (5-5), 7 p.m.

No. 4 Bellevue (4-6) at No. 1 Ludlow (6-4), 7 p.m.

Saturday, November 4

No. 3 Holy Cross (5-5) vs No. 2 Newport (7-3), at Highlands, 1 p.m.
