East Central rolls to regional title

EVANSVILLE , indiana – The long ride to the Crescent City didn’t bother East Central. Seven minutes into the game the Trojans built a 21-0 lead over Evansville Central and never looked back to capture the schools second straight and 10th overall regional title and in school history. The victory was the 19th in a row for the boys from St. Leon.
Senior running back Josh Ringer paced the victors with 214 yards and five touchdowns on 24 carries. Dylan Maxwell pitched in with 117 yards rushing on eight totes. Ringer upped his season totals to 2,512 yards and 50 touchdowns rushing.
East Central moves on to the semistate for the 10th time. The Trojans will host New Palestine who has won 11 games in a row.
