+++
The 2023 high school football season is in the books! What a year it was here within the Tri-state area with so many great storylines and performances.
Now it’s time to recognize the cream of the crop. Over the next couple of weeks we will be asking coaches, players, and fans alike to help us choose the 2023 Postseason All-TSF Team. In total we cover over 150 schools in Southwest Ohio (Cincinnati and Dayton), Northern Kentucky and Eastern Indiana. This team encompasses an extremely wide area and a variety of conferences and divisions.
Our staff has already finalized this year’s First Team members (bolded below). We will now open a two-week voting period to help us fill out the rest of the team – Second Team, Third Team and Honorable Mentions.
Here’s the first look at our 2023 Postseason First-Team All-TSF members as well as the nominees for the rest of our official team. In total, there are 514 players from 142 different schools who are nominated for the 2023 Postseason All-TriState Football Teams. It is a well-deserved honor for a group who worked very hard to stand out amongst their peers.
Five players were named First Team for a second straight year – Jordan Marshall (Moeller), Josh Ringer (East Central), Aba Selm (Simon Kenton), Austin Alexander (Cooper) and Aaron Scott, Jr. (Springfield).

The criteria for selecting nominees included looking at players that were 2023 OPSWA All-Ohio (first, second, third team and honorable mention-all seven divisions), OPSWA First Team All-Southwest District (coaches nominations), NKFCA Top 26, IFCA Top 50, IFCA Junior and Senior All-State Teams, select members from EIAC Class 3A & Class 4A teams, select members from the NKFCA All-District Teams (all four districts) and wild cards (players our staff liked after covering games this year and felt were worthy of being on the list).
NOTE: We use a Borda Count method to ensure each vote carries the most value. This makes a big difference in fan voting even for players that might finish 15 vs. 50 etc. Fan voting for the second and third teams will count for 30 percent towards a players final ranking. The other 70 percent is determined by the TSF staff and coach rankings. Fan voting alone will not guarantee any player on the team, but it ultimately has the biggest impact with bubble players.
The members of the All-TSF Teams, the TSF Teams of the Year, Players of the Year and finalists from Indiana, Dayton, Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati will be recognized at our annual awards show on Monday, February 19th, 2024 at the Holy Grail-Banks (details forthcoming).
