2024 Snapshot: MVCA

It seems like the Miami valley Christian Academy football program has been stuck in the mud forever. The Lions haven’t had a winning season since 2018. They are a combined 10-35 (.222 winning %) since that campaign. With an experienced group of big men ready to pull MVCA away from the mire, the time has come for the school to move back to its winning ways.

This is a young team that has a solid core of senior leadership. We have four senior offensive linemen that are multiple year starters and we have team speed,” head coach Kyle Gulley states.

Where Gulley and the MVCA coaching staff are looking for people to step up is at the skills positions. “We need new playmakers to rise to the opportunity after graduating some of our biggest playmakers,” Gulley says.

The first five games on the schedule are winnable. The Lions could head into Week 6 and 7 roaring with confidence versus the league’s top two teams, Cincinnati Country Day and St. Bernard-Elmwood Place. MVCA couldn’t ask for a better situation to prove itself and to make this a memorable season.
