CINCINNATI, Ohio – Elder let the rest of Cincinnati know that the kids at 3900 Vincent Avenue are alright after picking up an impressive win at Withrow to kickoff the 2024 season. One of the few proven commodities for the Panthers is senior Maddox Arnold who starred on both sides of the ball. The University of Toledo commit had seven tackles, two sacks and ran for the first two  touchdowns of his career.

Elder sophomore Kaden Estep fared well in his first varsity. He ran for 85 yards and went 8-11 for 96 yards with a pair of touchdown tosses to Christopher Paff. It was the first two touchdown catches of senior Paff’s career.

The only blemish on the Elder defense was a 92-yard touchdown run by Tigers senior Quintin Simmons, Jr. midway through the first quarter. The Panthers would hold Withrow to just 12 yards rushing on its other 23 carries. Simmons, Jr., a University of Kentucky commit finished with 164 all-purpose yards on nine touches.
