Tink Sellers of Deer Park was voted the Mella Window & Carpet Cleaning Player of the Week for Week 1, registering 1,682 votes (26.51 percent).
Sellers threw for five touchdowns on 13/14 passing attempts for 224 yards, ran for 64 yards with another score and had 117 yards on five kickoff returns as the Wildcats beat Belmont, 41-32.
He edged out Ayden Earls of Campbell County and Goshen’s Gage Croley in the voting conducted at TriStateFootball.com this week. In total, 19 players were nominated with 6,345 votes cast.
