ST. LEON, IN – Noah Maple had a night to remember as East Central routed South Dearborn, 66-6. Just 38 seconds into the second quarter the senior threw his fourth touchdown pass of the game, a new career high. It gave the Trojans a 28-0 advantage over the Knights. Maple added a touchdown run in the third quarter and finished with another personal best, 75 yards rushing. His final totals were 6-9 for 153 yards passing, seven carries for 75 yards rushing and five touchdowns.
East Central was clicking on all cylinders. The offense erupted for 483 yards of total offense on 42 plays. Eight different Trojans found the end zone with Ethan Feldkamp and Chase Marsh hitting paydirt twice.

The defense was equally impressive holding South Dearborn to just 66 yards of offense (40 rush, 26 pass) and had three interceptions. Karson Dorsey had two of those picks.
There were plenty more big time performances for the victors. Colton Bellman ran for 110 yards. Zamir Whitaker had 77 yards on two carries, including a 75-yard scamper to the house. Feldkamp tallied 88 yards on his two catches that went for touchdowns. Marsh had two carries for 26 yards which resulted in his first two touchdowns at the varsity level.
