The history of St. Bernard-Elmwood Place football is one of unbridled perseverance. The program started back in 1944 and had very ominous beginnings going a combined 16-86-4 before shutting it down after the 1961 season. Football laid dormant at the school for 60 years before starting back up in 2011.
Success continued to elude SB-EP going 22-61 its first nine years back on the field from 2011-19. In 2020, the Titans finally had their first winning season going 6-4 and making their first playoff appearance. St. Bernard Elmwood has fed on that momentum and is now on a quest for its seventh consecutive trip to the postseason and more importantly fifth straight winning campaign while going a combined 33-13 over the last four years.
The Titans seniors are experienced and know how to win having gone 27-8 over their first three seasons. Against a schedule that features no opponent that finished above .500 we like the odds of St. Bernard-Elmwood Place continuing its run of success.
