XENIA, oh – For the second time in the last three years, Butler has gotten out of the gate at 3-0. The Aviators used a smothering defense defense to keep Xenia from its first win of the season.
Senior Mark Buckler led the Butler defense with 13 tackles (eight solo), 3.0 tackles for losses and 1.5 sacks. Classmate Jaden Blackshear recorded his fifth sack of the year. The Aviators held Xenia to just 158 total yards and had 4.0 sacks on the night.
On offense, Lucas Miller had five receptions for 69 yards and a pair of scores. Five of Miller’s 11 catches on the season have gone for touchdowns. Jace Love ran for his sixth touchdown of the year.
