East Central decimates Franklin County

ST. LEON, in.– After a rough Week Three loss to #2 Elder, the #14 East Central Trojans were looking to get back in the win column Friday night against their Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference foe, the Wildcats of Franklin County.

And did they ever.

The Trojans put 35 points on the board in the first quarter alone, and led 49-0 at halftime en route to an emphatic 63-7 win over the Wildcats.

East Central scored eight of its nine touchdowns on the ground, led by Trojans senior running back Ryan Minges with four rushing touchdowns — the longest a 54-yard romp. The senior finished the night wit 168 yards on 11 carries. Classmate Colton Bellman pitched in with 108 yards on 11 totes and a pair of scores.

Franklin County got on the board in the third quarter, on a 40-yard pass from QB Anderson Deters to wideout Solomon Wheat, to avoid the shutout.
