TriStateFootball.com is proud to once again recognize the Tri-State’s top high school football performances with the Mella Window & Carpet Cleaning Player of the Week throughout the 2026 season.
Each week, players from Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Eastern Indiana are nominated based on standout performances from the previous weekend. The TSF staff selects the finalists, and then it’s up to the fans to determine the winner.
Voting is open now through Wednesday at 12 p.m. ET. Fans may vote once per hour, per IP address. Voting activity is monitored, and any votes determined to be fraudulent or an attempt to manipulate the results may be removed.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK RULES
- Players may win the Mella Window & Carpet Cleaning Player of the Week award only once during the season.
- A player may be nominated a maximum of three times during the season.
- Weekly nominees are selected by the TriStateFootball.com staff based on performances from across the Tri-State.
- Fans may vote once per hour, per IP address.
- Voting closes each Wednesday at 12 p.m. ET.
All weekly winners will be recognized at the TriStateFootball.com Year in Review Show following the season and will receive a commemorative Player of the Week plaque.

Colton Cooper, Williamsburg, So., WR – Caught five passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns and connected on all seven of his extra-point attempts as the Wildcats took out Blanchester for their seventh win in a row.
Jordan Davis, Anderson, Sr., WR – Accounted for 32 points, finishing with 106 yards from scrimmage, three touchdowns and seven two-point conversions as the Raptors rolled past Walnut Hills, 78-19.
David Dupee, Wyoming, Sr., QB – Had five of his seven completions go for touchdowns while throwing for 200 yards as the Cowboys shut out Finneytown, 51-0.
Julian Dwyer, Moeller, Jr., DL – Had three sacks and six tackles in the Crusaders’ win over St. Ignatius.
Kaden Estep, Elder, Sr., QB – Threw for 390 yards, ran for 44 yards and accounted for three touchdowns (two passing, one rushing) in the Panthers’ thrilling win at Highlands.
Chase Even, Badin, Jr., RB – Turned five of his eight carries into touchdowns while rushing for 186 yards as the Rams crushed Carroll, 49-20.
Brian Ferguson, Holy Cross, Jr., QB – Ran for three scores and threw for another while finishing with 76 yards passing and 65 yards rushing as the Indians beat Bishop Brossart to end a two-game skid.
Isaiah Garrett, Winton Woods, Sr., RB – Carried the ball eight times for 132 yards and two touchdowns while finishing with 169 yards on 11 touches as the Warriors blanked West Clermont.
Levi Gilliland, Dixie Heights, Sr., RB/LB – Ran for 142 yards and four touchdowns and recorded nine tackles (five solo) as the Colonels topped Conner.
Carter Gipson, Ross, Jr., RB – Carried the ball eight times for 126 yards and two touchdowns as the Rams routed Franklin, 42-0.
Samuel Ishmael, Scott, So., DB – Racked up 22 tackles (eight solo), a tackle for loss, a fumble recovery and an interception as the Eagles soared past Boone County, 43-21.
Malachai Kennedy, Dayton, Jr., RB – Scored four first-half rushing touchdowns as the Green Devils improved to 7-0 after taking out Bellevue.
Max Orlando, McNicholas, Jr., WR/DB – Recorded nine tackles (eight solo), forced two fumbles, recovered two fumbles, including a 94-yard scoop-and-score, and had an interception. He also caught three passes for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Rockets’ 20-7 victory over Alter.
Eric Ruther, Fairfield, Sr., DB – Snared three interceptions and had four tackles, including 1.5 sacks, in the Indians’ win over Mason.
Will Schmittauer, Turpin , Jr., QB (FINAL NOMINATION)- Threw for 532 yards and six touchdowns and ran for 132 yards and two more scores as the Spartans won a wild 63-60 game over Lebanon.
Ty Thomas, Sycamore, Sr., QB – Threw for 365 yards, ran for 80 yards and accounted for four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) as the Aviators snapped a 23-game losing streak with a 36-25 win over Oak Hills.
Key’Sean Torbert, Princeton, Jr., QB – Completed 10-of-13 passes for 176 yards and four touchdowns and added a 33-yard touchdown run as the Vikings beat Hamilton, 60-6, to remain unbeaten.
Nathan Tucker, Kings, Sr., WR/DB – Caught nine passes for 83 yards and intercepted two passes in an outstanding two-way performance as the Knights rallied to beat Milford, 31-28.
Logan Von Holle, St. Xavier, Sr., WR – Caught six passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns as the Bombers beat La Salle, 38-14.
