Edgewood was able to hold off rival Ross for a big conference win on Friday night. Carter Breedlove scored two rushing touchdowns and Bryce Davidson added two field goals for the Cougars scoring for the night. Breedlove scored on runs of 1 and 34 yards. Edgewood led 20-13 after three quarters and were able to keep Ross at bay in the fourth to hold onto the win. The Edgewood defense would not fold during the final quarter as they were able to turn away the Rams multiple times to ensure their victory.
Carter Gipson scored on a 46-yard run for Ross and Lucas Kunkel scored on a 10-yard run for the Rams who kept things close before not being able to get over the hump. The win moved Edgewood to 3-4 as Ross fell to 2-5 and have lost four straight. Both teams will return to SWOC action next week as they try and make a push towards the postseason.
