Fairfield Wins With Defense

Fairfield traveled to Mason and picked up a GMC road win. The Indians improved to 4-4 on the season as they were able to pull out a physical 21-10 victory against a tough Mason squad. Fairfield forced four turnovers in the game and get the Mason offense from getting any rhythm.

Kobe Lewis rushed for two touchdowns in the win and Parker Randall connected with Tristen Lofton for a score as well. Mason Thomas led the Indians with five catches for 52 yards. Mason got 107 yards rushing and a touchdown from quarterback Alex Nagel in a losing effort.

Dave Hutton led the Comets with eight tackles while the Indians were led on defense by the play of Axsel Rogers who had nine tackles and Eric Ruther who tallied two interceptions for a second straight week.
