CHCA hits groove at New Richmond

NEW RICHMOND, oh – Down by 15 points with just four minute left in the first half CHCA scored 43 unanswered point to come away with a huge road victory at New Richmond. The quarterbacks stole the show on this night.
The home crowd watched with delight as Lions quarterback Austin Torrens had a pair of 46-yard touchdown runs and an 86-yard scoring scamper in the game’s first 15 minutes. He scored all 21 of New Richmond’s points as they darted out to a 21-6 advantage. Torrens finished the night with 31 carries for 261 yards and three rushing touchdowns. He also threw for 119 yards and a touchdown.
Torrens wasn’t the only signal-caller strutting his stuff. Johnny Noyen accounted for 425 yards of total offense (180 rushing, 245 passing), found the end zone once rushing, threw for three touchdowns and kicked five extra points for CHCA. His finale came on a 40-yard interception return that capped off the Eagles 43 point run. It was Torrens only mistake of the night.
