2024 Video Snapshot: Troy

Defense wins championships and Troy can attest to that. The Trojans held 12 of their 13 opponents to 15 points or less, with four shutouts, on the way to earning a share of the Miami Valley League title in 2023. Troy’s 11 victories were tied for second most in school history (12 wins in 1985). The Trojans now look to build upon that success with a squad that has the talent to be just as good if not better than it was a year ago.

Division II, Region 8
2023 RECORD: 11-2, 8-1 MVL, Miami Division
COACH: Troy Everhart (18-6 at Troy, two years; 120-84 overall, 20 years)

HONOR ROLL
Aiden Kirkpatrick
, Jr, QB – Had a rock-solid debut in his first year as a starter. Kirkpatrick should develop into more of a dual threat over the next two seasons. He threw for 872 yards, ran for 98 yards and accounted for nine touchdowns (six pass, three rush) on his way to being named Honorable Mention All-MVL as a sophomore.

Cam’ron Couch, Jr, DL – Burst onto the scene in a big way in 2023. Couch was a Second Team All-MVL (DL) selection after getting in on 58 total tackles, with seven-and-a-half sacks, 17.0 tackles for losses and three forced fumbles as a sophomore.

Cameron Stoltz, Sr, K/P – The kicking game and special teams will be a strength for Troy behind big leg of Stoltz. He was named Second Team All-MVL (K) after connecting on 56/57 extra points, 4/6 field goals (long of 42 yards) for 68 points as a junior. He also averaged 39.7 yards on 29 punts (long of 65 yards), dropping nine of those kicks inside the opponents 20-yard line.
