Mason blanks unbeaten Fairfield

Mason scored twice in a matchup against previously-undefeated Fairfield to hand the Indians their first loss, 13-0, at Fairfield High School on Friday.

The Comets’ first score came in the second quarter on a 58-yard pass from Preston Hutchinson to Bryson White to make it 7-0, which would be the score at halftime.

The second score, coming early in the third quarter, was achieved by a 34-yard run by White. Jake Sewell missed the extra point, keeping the score 13-0.

The Comets finished with 302 total yards while holding Fairfield to only 63 yards and just two first downs.

Mason (3-2, 1-1 in GMC) will go back home to take on Lakota East in GMC play, while Fairfield (4-1, 1-1 in GMC) will host Colerain, both on Friday night.
