Conner holds off Campbell
- Updated: November 7, 2015

Down by eight, Campbell County scored a touchdown in the closing minutes, but the ensuing two-point conversion was incomplete as Conner held on for a 14-12 win over the Camels on Friday.
Campbell County quarterback Carson Plessinger ran in a 1-yard TD for the final points of the game with under four minutes remaining.
The Cougars’ Kyler Padgett was 16 of 19 passing for 128 yards and both of his team’s touchdowns. Tanner Nyers led the team in receiving with 68 yards and one TD on four catches.
Plessinger was tops on Campbell County in ground yards with 84.
Conner’s Tyler Arnold caught a 2-yard touchdown pass to open the scoring in the second quarter, and the Camels answered with Plessinger 1-yard TD run later in the frame, but the extra point was no good.
Still before halftime, the Cougars’ Nyers hauled in a 12-yard score to make it 14-6.
Conner will travel to Cooper next week in the second round of the playoffs. The Jaguars won, 15-13 when the teams met earlier this season.
