La Salle rolls to regional final

La Salle advanced to its second consecutive regional final in Division II, Region 6 after defeating Lima Senior, 49-13 at Kettering Fairmont Roush Stadium on Friday night.
The Lancers will advance to play Kings next week in the Region 6 final after the Knights defeated Turpint.
La Salle did all of its scoring in the first half, leading to a running clock in the second half. The score was also 49-13 at halftime.
Quarterback Nick Watson finished with 203 passing yards and four touchdowns, while star running back Jeremy Larkin, who rushed for 303 yards in last week’s pouncing of Butler, finished with 225 all-purpose yards, two rushing touchdowns, and a receiving touchdown.
La Salle only led 7-0 at the end of the first quarter after a Larkin 23-yard run.
In the second quarter, the Lancers exploded with 42 points, including four consecutive passing touchdowns by Watson, followed by a Watson rushing touchdown.
Larkin capped off the scoring in the second quarter with a one-yard rush into the end zone to put the Lancers up 49-13 going into halftime.
The site for next week’s matchup against Kings has yet to be determined.
