OH – DIII: Montgomery, Walder honored

David Montgomery saw the fruits of his labor payoff after being named the 2015 Associated Press Division III Southwest District offensive player of the year. The Mount Healthy senior ran for more than 2,500 yards with 41 rushing and six passing touchdowns.
University of Kentucky commit Roland Walder of Trotwood-Madison was honored as the 2015 Associated Press Division III Southwest District defensive player of the year. He and his Rams teammates are shooting for the program’s sixth straight Regional title. Walder has 58 total tackles and seven sacks on the year.
Joel Derge did not miss a beat at Tippecanoe in his first season after replacing legend Charlie Burgbacher. Derge led the Red DEviles to the playoffs and for that he earned the 2015 Associated Press Division III Southwest District coach of the year.
