Senior Salute: Cody Boxrucker
- Updated: November 9, 2015
One of Southwest Ohio’s most consistent and dependable players on both sides of the ball over the past three years, Cody Boxrucker will go down as one of the greats in Badin High School football history.
Boxrucker capped off a wonderful career by being named the 2015 Greater Catholic League Central Offensive Player of the Year after running for 1,068 yards and 17 touchdowns. He was named First-Team, All-GCL Central for a third straight season and is in line for a third consecutive First-Team, All-Southwest District selection.
The Rams were a combined 25-11 in Boxrucker’s three years as a starter. They never lost to a team that finished the year below .500. Badin went to the playoffs all three seasons while going 3-3 in the post-season.
Boxrucker finished his career with 3,175 yards rushing, 41 rushing touchdowns, 36 receptions, 381 receiving yards, three receiving touchdowns and 3,617 all-purpose yards.
On defense, he recorded 241 total tackles, had 1.5 sacks, recovered five fumbles and had two interceptions including a pick six as a senior.
