Lainhart in at Walnut Hills
- Updated: December 23, 2015
Walnut Hills announced Tuesday night on Twitter that Brian Lainhart has been named their new head football coach.
Lainhart replaces George Kontsis, who had been at the helm for eight years. Kontsis took the Eagles from rock bottom to respectability in that time.
The last two years under Kontsis had seen the program slip back into its old ways going just a combined 3-17 in that time.
A graduate of Colerain and Kent State the 28-year old Lainhart knows a thing or two about winning high school programs in Cincinnati. The first-time head coach played for Kerry Coombs as a member of the 2004 state champion Colerain Cardinals.
The past two seasons he has served as the cornerbacks coach under Steve Specht at St. Xavier.
