Gold Star Chili and TriStateFootball.com are partnering to present the High School Football Team of the Week during the 2016 regular season. Each week 8-10 schools will be nominated from the Greater Cincinnati area to be included in an online voting poll to determine a winner.
The voting is open now until Wednesday night at 6PM. Voters can vote once per hour, per IP address.
**EVERYONE THAT VOTES GETS THIS GREAT DEAL FROM GOLD STAR CHILI**
Once a team has won, they were ineligible to be nominated a second time. All of the winning teams will receive a trophy to be presented at their school by Gold Star Chili.
Here are this week’s nominations:
EAST CENTRAL (9-2)
The Trojans advanced to the Class 4A Sectional 23 finals with 30-20 win over Franklin County.
GLEN ESTE (2-8)
In the school’s final football game ever, it pulled off a 29-14 upset of Milford.
LA SALLE (8-2)
The Lancers completed their GCL South by knocking off Elder 24-10, securing its first-ever outright league title.
MIAMISBURG (8-2)
Miamisburg clinched a home playoff game in Division II, Region 8 by beating Northmont, 39-3.
NEW RICHMOND (9-1)
The Lions knocked off Norwood 35-7 to lock up a playoff berth and to win the SBAAC American Division title.
SIMON KENTON (9-1)
Simon Kenton cruised past Scott 39-7 on Senior Night in Independence.
ST. XAVIER (5-5)
The Bombers locked up a playoff spot by defeating Louisville St. Xavier, 28-3.
SYCAMORE (6-4)
With their 17-10 win over Mason, Sycamore locked up a Division I, Region 4 playoff berth.
TURPIN (10-0)
Turpin capped off a perfect regular season and clinched a No. 1 overall seed in Division II, Region 8 with a 30-14 win over Loveland.
WYOMING (10-0)
The Cowboys wrapped up a perfect regular season and earned the No. 1 seed in Division IV, Region 16 with a 56-6 victory against Deer Park.
