Beechwood coasts into state semis

Beechwood piled up 345 rushing yards and six ground touchdowns en route to a 42-7 win over Kentucky Country Day in a Class A state quarterfinal on Friday.
Aiden Justice, Trevor Soward and James Davis rushed for two touchdowns each in the Tigers’ win. Justice ended the night with a game-best 169 yards, and Davis added 119 yards on just nine carries.
Beechwood QB Brayden Burch was 7 of 11 for 109 yards, and Daniel Mescher caught three of those passes for 77 yards.
The Tigers will host the Bethlehem-Russellville winner at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This is the third straight season Beechwood has advanced to the state semifinal round.
