Bonner, Bolden’s best in DI
- Updated: November 16, 2016
Sitting at 2-4 Sycamore was in dire need of some hope to latch on to. Running back Ra’Von Bonner answered the call putting his Aviator teammates on his wings and flying them to four wins to end the season and into the playoffs. The fun hasn’t stopped there, Sycamore is in the Regional finals for the first time in school history. The Illinois-bound Bonner has run for 2,122 yards and 34 touchdowns so far this season. He has run for 200 yards or more five times in his last nine contests.
Colerain linebacker Kyle Bolden was named the Southwest District defensive player of the year. He led a Cardinals defense that pitched three shutouts and held three more foes to eight points or less during the regular season. His father, Tom was named coach of the year in what has been a very exciting week for the family.
