Marty, Rueth tops in Division IV

It’s Marty’s party in Division IV. Wyoming quarterback Andrew Marty capped off his wonderful senior campaign by being honored as the Division IV Southwest District offensive player of the year. The Northwestern-bound Marty led the Cowboys to an undefeated regular season and set the school record for touchdown passes in a season with 42 and counting. He currently has 2,961 yards passing for a Wyoming offense that has scored 50 points or more five times in the last eight weeks.

Alter linebacker David Rueth was named the Southwest District defensive player of the year. He was the centerpiece of a Knights defense that gave up just 68 points during the regular season. No one scored more than 15 points against Alter as the Knights finished a perfect 10-0.
