La Salle holds off Edgewood

Christian Turner tallied a career-best 171 yards as La Salle held on to beat Edgewood, 23-21 on Friday.
Lancers team leader Jarell White was not in the backfield.
The teams traded first-quarter touchdowns, but La Salle ran off 16 points in the second quarter, capped off by a Paul Young 30-yard score with 28 seconds left as the Lancers took a 23-14 lead into the break.
La Salle did not put up a point in the second half, and the Cougars cut it to two on a Nick Noble 25-yard TD reception, but Edgewood could pull no closer.
Devon Garrett led the Cougars with 109 rushing yards.
