Owen Holtke of the Bethel-Tate Tigers was voted the TSF Player of the Week for Week 8, registering 5,637 votes (29.93 percent).
He carried the ball eight times for 130 yards, had two receptions for 11 yards, found the end zone five times and kicked seven extra points as Bethel-Tate improved to 8-0 with a win over East Clinton.
Holtke edged out Brennan Hobbs of Colerain and Goshen’s Kyle Proffitt in the voting conducted by TriStateFootball.com. In total, 21 players were nominated with 18,836 votes casted.
We will be presenting awards to each of this season’s winners at the upcoming TSF Year in Review Show coming in mid-to-late February (more details coming soon).
Next week’s Player of the Week nominations will be announced on Sunday each week. We will take nominations through Sunday morning at 9AM via email or on Twitter @TSFootball.
