Milford, W. Clermont tie for ECC title

West Clermont earned a third of a conference title in its inaugural season.
The Wolves edged Milford, 35-28 on Friday as both teams along with Anderson finished 6-1 in the ECC.
The Eagles led, 14-0 early but West Clermont rallied for three straight scores to take the lead, 21-14.
Milford re-tied it with a second left in the half on Cameron Kells’ 24-yard TD reception.
Neither team scored in the third quarter, and Austin Maham caught an 8-yard touchdown to put West Clermont ahead with 10:46 left in regulation.
The Eagles made it 28-28 just 19 seconds later on a 64-yard catch by Jake Ayler.
But Jacob Kilgore ran in a four-yard score with 3:14 to play and the Wolves held on.
Maham rushed for 207 yards, and West Clermont finished with 367 ground yards total.
Both teams advance to the Division I tournament.
