Williams Runs Wild in Winton Woods Win
- Updated: September 22, 2018
CINCINNATI, ohio – On the games opening kickoff Winton Woods caused a fumble and Demeer Blankumsee converted it into a scoop and score. The tone was set and the Warriors never let their foot of the throat of Northwest squad that was knocked into timidity on that play.
Running back Miyan Williams was a man against boys on this night for Winton Woods. Williams ran for 229 yards and five touchdowns on 10 carries. He did all his damage before halftime as the Warriors built a 52-0 lead. The junior now has 806 yards and 14 touchdowns at the mid-way point of the season.
The defense was also stellar for Winton woods. The first unit gave up just 12 total yards (15 rush, -3 rush) to the Knights in the first half. The Warriors also forced nine punts and the only first down that Northwest got before intermission came on a penalty.
The fun games are now over for Winton Woods. They close out the season against five teams that are currently a combined 21-4. The gauntlet portion of the schedule ends for Northwest next week.
