Fenwick Flies By Purcell Marian
- Updated: October 13, 2018
FRANKLIN, ohio – A team always wants to be playing its best as the season winds down and Fenwick appears to be doing just that. The Falcons broke open a close game with Purcell Marian scoring 21 second half points for their third straight win.
The Fenwick offense got a balanced performance. Quarterback Sully Janeck went 16-23 for 213 yards and a touchdown pass to Thomas Vogelsang. Jack Fessler ran for 203 of the Falcons 208 yards and found the end zone three times. Fessler has run for 200 or more yards in each of the last three weeks. The senior raised his season totals to 1,318 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground.
Sophomore Logan Miller continues to be a rising star on defense. He hounded the Cavaliers getting in on 15 total tackles (eight solo) and snaring one of three Falcons interceptions of Purcell Marian quarterback, Zach Hoover. Despite the three picks Hoover still managed to throw for 312 yards and two touchdowns in defeat.
RECORDS: Purcell Marian (4-4, 1-4); Fenwick (6-2, 4-1)
UP NEXT: Purcell Marian hosts Carroll (5-3, 2-3); Fenwick at Roger Bacon (3-5, 1-4)
