Kings Wins Offensive Shootout Against Milford

Kings defeats Milford, 64-40, Friday night at Kings High School in the battle for the top sot in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference.
This game did not lack any offense production. This was the most points scored by Kings all season and the second game in the last three where the Knights scored at least 55 points.
In the first half both teams were trading touchdowns as Kings had a one-point, 28-17, lead at halftime but Kings dominated the second half.
Kings outscored Milford, 36-13 despite Milford scoring the first touchdown of the second half taking a 33-28 lead.
The Knights combined to rush the football for 363 yards Nak’emon Williams led the team with 238 yards and four touchdowns. Ashton Keller rushed 17 times for 112 yards and two touchdowns.
The Knights defense was able to force four turnovers but allowed 444 yards. The special teams also contributed when Treshawn Fisher had a punt return for touchdown to open the game’s scoring.
Milford was led by running back Cameron Kells. The senior back rushed for 206 yards and three touchdowns. Hunter Johnson threw for 233 yards and a touchdown. Dylan Hughes was Johnson’s favorite target as he caught six passes for 90 yards and Johnson’s only touchdown.
This win puts Kings at 5-0 in the conference and in sole possession of first place in the conference. They have now won five straight and improved their overall record to 7-1. They finish the regular season against Loveland and West Clermont, who are combined 5-11 on the season.
Milford will look to improve the playoff resume with a road game next Friday against West Clermont.
