Milford cruises by Turpin and onto the playoffs

MILFORD, Ohio – Milford was able to defend home field on Senior Night against Turpin by only giving up one touchdown as they won 33-7, allowing them to clinch a playoff berth for the third time in school history and the second year in a row.
Senior wide receiver Jake Ayler led the team in their dominate win over Turpin. He had 183 all-purpose yards with a rushing touchdown, receiving TD and a punt return for a score as well. Classmate Cameron Kells added 152 rushing yards with two rushing scores of his own.

Milford controlled the game from start to finish and played a clean game with minimal mistakes. The Eagles’ defense only allowed 121 total offensive yards and forced two turnovers as well.
The Spartans were held scoreless for the first three quarters of the game before finally getting a TD on the board in the fourth.
Milford finished the season with a record of (8-2) and was able to win their last six out of seven games to hopefully put them in a good position in the OHSAA Playoffs. Now they play the waiting game to see who and where they play in the first-round of the playoffs.
The unofficial playoff projections at JoeEitel.com have Milford seeded fourth and hosting a playoff game against Fairfield. The official playoff pairings will be released by the OHSAA on Sunday.
