Blitz 5 Top 25: Cream rising to the top
- Updated: September 15, 2020
St. Xavier warded off Elder at The Pit to remain atop the Blitz 5 Top 25 presented by TriStateFootball.com. The Bombers have gotten better each week and appear to be a serious contender for a state title. They will travel to unbeaten Indianapolis Cathedral this Friday night. It will be the first of three straight home games for the Irish against GCL South teams (La Salle next, then Moeller).
There won’t be a GMC title for Colerain. The Cardinals fell to unbeaten Princeton for their second league loss. The Vikings have now won three games by five, five and four points. Lakota West moves up a spot to #3 in the poll after pitching its second shutout of the year. Princeton and Lakota West are two of the seven teams in the poll that are 3-0. There are five games versus ranked teams this weekend.
