TSF 2020 Cincinnati DPOY: Dontay Corleone

A dominant force in the trenches, Colerain senior defensive lineman Dontay Corleone was in on 41 total tackles and had eight sacks in nine games on his way to being named the 2020 TriState Football Defensive Player of the Year. He was the cornerstone of a Cardinals defense that allowed just 12.6 points per contest and gave up 13 points or less on seven occasions.
Corleone was also named OPSWA Division I First Team All-Ohio, First Team All-TSF (for a second straight season) and the GMC Defensive Player of the Year. He finished his Colerain career with 137 total tackles and 19.5 sacks. Corleone will continue his football career at the University of Cincinnati.
Other 2020 TSF Cincinnati Defensive Player of the Year finalists were all seniors Andrew “Bam” Booker (Winton Woods), Matt Devine (St. Xavier), Jaylen Johnson (La Salle), Jackson Kuwatch (Lakota West), Diego Neri (Northwest), Cam Sanders (Winton Woods) and Devonta Smith (La Salle).
