KHSAA Playoffs: District Championships set

The calendar has hit November and that means it’s time for some postseason action on the high school gridiron in the Bluegrass State. It will be a month of some great action, continuing this Friday night with District Championships going on around Kentucky.

Here are the opening round matchups for local teams:

CLASS 6A, DISTRICT 6
No. 2 Dixie Heights (7-4) at No. 1 Ryle (8-3)

CLASS 5A, DISTRICT 5
No. 3 Conner (7-4) at No. 1 Covington Catholic (8-3)

CLASS 4A, DISTRICT 6
No. 4 Harrison County (3-8) at No. 3 Scott (7-4)

CLASS 2A, DISTRICT 5
No. 2 Carroll County (7-4) at No. 1 Walton-Verona (8-3)

CLASS 2A, DISTRICT 6
No. 3 Holy Cross (4-7) at No. 1 Beechwood (11-0)

CLASS A, DISTRICT 4
No. 3 Dayton (5-6) at No. 1 NewCath (8-3) at Newport High School

CLASS A, DISTRICT 5
No. 2 Nicholas County (6-5) at No. 1 Bishop Brossart (11-0)
