For a third straight season Wyoming running back CJ Hester has been named the OPSWA Division IV Southwest District Offensive Player of the Year. The senior is having a historical campaign for the 13-0 Cowboys running for 2,830 yards, 19th highest single season total in Ohio history and 45 touchdowns, eighth highest single season total in Ohio history. The seniors career numbers currently stand at 6,835 yards rushing, 15th most in Ohio history, 109 career touchdowns, tied for 11th most in Ohio history and 99 rushing touchdowns, tied for ninth most in Ohio history. Hester is committed to Western Michigan University.

The electrifying Elias Rudolph has been unstoppable for a tenacious Taft defense. Rudolph finished the regular season with 79 total tackles and 16.5 sacks for a Senators defense that has posted seven shutouts on their way to an 11-2 record and the schools first appearance in a regional final. Those efforts have earned the junior the 2022 OPSWA Division IV Southwest District Defensive Player of the Year honors.
