One week in and the field has already been cut in half in the KHSAA Playoffs, but some of Northern Kentucky’s top teams still remain. Here’s a look at the Round 2 matchups.

CLASS 6A

Louisville Trinity (7-4) at Simon Kenton (8-3), 7:30 p.m.

Ryle (6-5) at Louisville Ballard (9-2)

CLASS 5A

Covington Catholic (9-2) at Frederick Douglass (11-0)

Scott County (10-1) at Highlands (9-2)

CLASS 2A

Carroll County (7-4) at Beechwood (10-1), 7:30 p.m.

Lloyd (8-3) at Walton-Verona (9-2), 7:30 p.m.

CLASS 1A

Frankfort (7-4) vs. Newport Central Catholic (8-2) at CovCath

Kentucky Country Day (8-2) at Dayton (6-5)

Paintsville (5-5) at Bishop Brossart (9-2)
