The opponents are the same as they were a year ago for Trotwood-Madison. The Rams will be tested “big time” during the first five weeks of 2023. With a very talented and experienced group returning, T-Mad is out to avenge losses in four of those affairs to start last season. The flock has much to prove this fall.

The Rams have won 20 in a row versus DPL Schools (last loss was a forfeit to Dunbar in 2004).

FINAL TAKE: Trotwood-Madison has beaten just one team (Chaminade Julienne, 6-5, in the 2022 playoffs) that has finished a season above .500 since defeating Mansfield on December 6th, 2019, to win the Division III state championship. In that span, the Rams are just 1-11 with an average margin of defeat of 24.5 points against teams that have finished the year with winning records. This squad is more than capable of reversing that trend but must get out of the gate strong and build confidence.
Region 12 is loaded with contenders vying for the regional crown – Tippecanoe, Badin, Mount Healthy, Wapakoneta, Bellbrook and Chaminade Julienne are going to be tough to beat. On paper, the Rams matchup with any of those squads. By the time the postseason rolls around Trotwood-Madison should be more than prepared for what those teams throw at them. It will all come down to execution for a group that will be more than battle tested.
