WYOMING, Ohio – After a late game charge from visiting Ross, Wyoming added a late rushing touchdown to seal the win in the opening contest of the season.

Wyoming got out to a hot start, striking on a 58-yard touchdown pass from sophomore quarterback David Dupee to senior receiver Josiah Gault. It wasn’t until the second quarter when Ross entered the scoring column, on a 19-yard run from senior Emory Severance. The Cowboys and Dupee never let off the gas pedal, holding the lead for the entire game on the back of a 150-yard passing performance from the Wyoming quarterback.

Ross kept it close, adding on another 26-yard rushing touchdown from junior Brandt Kugler. The comeback came up short for the Rams, however, as Wyoming dealt a crushing 49-yard rushing touchdown from running back Joel Hancock. The senior captain had a standout evening, racking up 205 yards on 18 attempts in the Cowboys victory.
