CINCINNATI, OH – After a sudden relocation of the contest to Western Hills High, a small crowd of about 600 were in attendance to witness a Friday night free-for-all for visiting Badin, as they easily handled the hosting Hughes Big Red by a score of 38-0.

The Rams used their air attack to carve up the Hughes secondary all night, as junior quarterback Colt Emerson tossed three separate touchdowns, including two that the signal- caller threw to junior wide receiver James Brink. Emerson went 6-7 for 107 yards. Junior half back Lem Grayson also found success on the ground, picking up 139 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries to add on to the Badin offensive onslaught.

The Badin defense was just as dominant, holding the Big Red offense to just 93 yards of total offense. Hughes’ punt team got quite the workout throughout the evening, with the Big Red punting the ball six different times.

By the fourth quarter, Badin began putting in the backups amidst the beginning of a running clock, and the second-string Rams defense was able to preserve Badin’s first shutout and largest win of the season.
