MVCA’s Abshire voted POW

Caleb Abshire of Miami Valley Christian Academy was voted the Mella Window & Carpet Cleaning Player of the Week for Week 5, registering a season-high 8,257 votes (40.89 percent).
Abshire carried the ball 38 times for 342 yards and four touchdowns in the Lions win over Manchester.
He edged out Max Mehlman of Batavia and Covington Catholic’s Andrew Bessler in the voting conducted at TriStateFootball.com this week. In total, 20 players were nominated with 20,191 votes casted.
We will be presenting awards to each of this season’s winners at the upcoming TSF Year in Review Show coming in mid-to-late February (more details coming soon).
