The ECC crowned a champion, and Wyoming won a key CHL contest in our Cincinnati Round-Up.

NO. 3 ANDERSON 31, NO. 4 WINTON WOODS 17
Justice Burnam passed for three touchdowns and rushed for another as Anderson improved to 9-0 and won at least a share of the ECC title on Friday night. The Raptors overcame a 14-7 deficit by exploding offensively as is normally the case. Trace Jallick scored two touchdowns on the night and Lucas Callahan scored one as the offensive juggernauts were once again up to the challenge against one of the best defensive units in the area.

The Anderson defense was once again a catalyst as well as they were able to get the timely stops when they needed them and held the Warriors to only 17 points on the night. Anderson looks to be a lock for the top seed in division II and can win the conference title outright next week with a victory at Loveland.

POSTGAME INTERVIEW: Evan Dreyer, Anderson

NO. 6 ST. XAVIER 31, ST. IGNATIUS 19
Daniel Vollmer rushed for 163 yards and four touchdowns as the Bombers took care of St. Ignatius on Friday night. The Bombers used a solid rushing attack all night long to keep their opponents at bay. Vollmer was able to pay off drive after drive with touchdown scores in the red zone. Quarterback Chase Herbstreit showed great leadership on keeping his team right where they needed to be all night. The Bombers improved to 6-3.

POSTGAME INTERVIEW: Steve Specht, St. Xavier

NO. 23 WYOMING 23, INDIAN HILL 7
The Wyoming Cowboys used a balanced attack on offense and stingy defense to beat Indian Hill on the road Friday night. Jackson Hamilton rushed for two scores and Billy Lyons added a score for the Cowboys. Wyoming raced out to a 23-0 lead through three quarters and were able to put the Braves away for the win.

Devlan Daniel scored a touchdown for Indian Hill as did George Vollmer but it wasn’t enough to stop the Cowboys on the night. Tyler Johnson-Huff had an interception for Wyoming who is in the driver’s seat for another CHL crown.
