Raiders run roughshod over Camels

UNION, Kentucky – A 28-point first quarter was all the Ryle Raiders needed Friday night to improve to 5-2 on the season and set up a showdown for the Kentucky 6A District 6 title with Great Crossing next week.
The Raiders’ offense hung four touchdowns on Campbell County in the first quarter, while blanking the Camels defensively, and went on to cruise to a 42-14 victory.
For the third time this season Ryle quarterback Nathan Verax threw for three touchdowns, all in the first half of this affair. Also before intermission Jacob Savage ran for a pair of scores for the victors. The junior now has 10 rushing touchdowns on the season.
