Wildcats outlast Bulldogs

BROOKVILLE, Indiana – The Franklin County Wildcats are warming up at just the right time of year.

On Senior Night, Franklin County kept their late-season winning streak alive – now at three in a row – with a 31-17 victory over Batesville. The win over conference leader Batesville puts the Wildcats right back into the thick of the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference title race.

Wildcat QB Quinn Gilman went 10 of 20 for 263 yards and three touchdowns – notching a quarterback rating of 135.4 – and adding 85 yards on the ground, along with running back Mason Wewe carrying 13 times for 89 yards and a touchdown, to lead the Franklin County offense. 

On the defensive side of the ball, Wildcat linebacker Jack Seals had two sacks, and Blake Stephenson added an interception, to help stifle the Bulldog attack.
