Cooper continued their undefeated season and CovCath made a thrilling comeback in our NKY Round-Up.
CLASS 5A
COOPER 45, SCOTT COUNTY 20
The Cooper Jaguars continued their undefeated season and their quest to make it back to the state championship game with a comfortable win over Scott County.
Keagan Maher had a strong game for the Jaguars as he was an elusive figure out of the backfield all night long and found the end zone multiple times. Cam O’Hara put together another strong performance at quarterback and Ryker Campbell had a 96-yard interception return in the victory.
CLASS 4A
COVINGTON CATHOLIC 14, JOHNSON CENTRAL 13
CovCath erased a 13-0 deficit and scored 14 unanswered points to beat Johnson Central on Friday night. Cash Harney rushed for a touchdown and passed for a touchdown during the comeback victory. Harney rushed for an 8-yard score in the second quarter and connected with Oliver Link for an 8-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.
